About Vitaly Mansky
Vitaly Vsevolodovich Mansky, (born December 2, 1963, Lvov, Ukrainian SSR, USSR) is a Russian and Latvian documentary director, film producer and public figure. President of the international festival of author's documentary films "Artdocfest" and the National Award in the field of non-fiction cinema and television "Laurel Branch". In 1990 he graduated from the Moscow All-Union State Institute of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov (VGIK), camera department (workshop of Sergei Medynsky). Entered the camera workshop of A.V. Galperin at VGIK. Author of the television programs “Family Newsreels” (Channel Five), “Real Cinema” and “Kinopodem” (ORT). In 1996-1998 - head of the film exhibition service and general producer of the REN-TV channel. Founder of the archive of amateur home newsreels for 1945-1991.
