About Neschástnyy slúchay
Neschástnyy slúchay - is a Soviet and Russian jazz-rock band formed in 1983 by Alexey Kortnev and Valdis Pelsh. The group quickly became popular among Moscow students thanks to the production of the plays “Off-season”, “Garden of Idiots” and “Cabaret “Blue Nights of the Cheka””. With the last show, the team visited Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Spain and the USA. In 1987, songs from the “Off-season” cycle were published on an album in the magazine “Krugozor”. The group first appeared on television in 1988 in KVN with the song “They brought us a computer.” Then “Accident” was part of the MSU team. Later, in 1989, the group took part in the “Vzglyad” program, which first showed live performances, and then the first two videos were filmed - “Radio” and “Leave Me.” After participating in “Vzglyad,” Kortneva and Pelsha were invited to work at ATV, where they filmed new videos, wrote music for the television company’s title screen, and participated in the creation of the “Both-on!” program. Then they tried to release their projects - “Debiliada” and “Blue Nights Cabaret”, which were not successful.
