Dmitry Lvovich Bykov (born Zilbertrud; born December 20, 1967, Moscow, USSR) is a Russian writer, poet and publicist, literary critic, radio and television presenter, journalist, literature teacher, film critic. A political thinker and activist who is in opposition to the modern Russian leadership, in particular to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Biographer of Boris Pasternak, Bulat Okudzhava, Maxim Gorky and Vladimir Mayakovsky. Together with Mikhail Efremov, he regularly published literary video releases as part of the projects “Citizen Poet” and “Good Mister.”

Since 2022 he has been teaching at Cornell University (USA). The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation included Bykov in the register of media - foreign agents.
