Le Bouchon opened its doors in 2010 on a quiet night in the midst of a snowstorm. From those humble beginnings, the restaurant has grown into a neighborhood jewel in the Sheepshead Bay area of South Brooklyn. Featured by the New York Post and New Yorker magazine as an authentic haven for eclectic French cuisine that stands apart from its competitors. The elaborate bistro menu is crafted by Chef de Cuisine Roman Nikhman relying on indie purveyors and locally raised ingredients for many of his seasonal dishes. Le Bouchon, which takes its name from the French word for cork, offers à la carte, brunch and banquet menus featuring sumptuous Parisian standards including foie gras drizzled with wild-berry port wine and a classic au poivre preparation of an aged strip loin. The colossal wine-barrel selection or the wine rack that takes up an entire wall offers a wide range of reasonably priced vintages.
