About Empire Polo Club Established in 1987, Empire Polo Club has been an intricate part of polo history here in the California desert. Empire Polo Club has put together a fun polo season filled with competitive polo tournaments, parties and many opportunities to meet new people. Games are open to the public and spectators are invited to attend matches throughout the season. The Winter Polo Season The pre-season tournaments begin at the end of November with a weekend of arena tournaments. Empire Polo Club will start “official” winter season in January with Opening Day.
