About Kaspiyskiy gruz
“Kaspiisky Gruz" is an Azerbaijani Russian-language rap group founded in 2000. The group includes Ves (Anar Zeynalov) and Brutto (Timur Odilbekov). Group members Ves and Brutto have been friends since the second grade of school. The start of his creative journey dates back to the beginning of the year two thousand. They read the first track to the instrumental “Slaves of Rhyme” by the group “Slaves of the Lamp”, but the materials of that period were not recorded or released. The duo from Baku first made their presence known in March 2013, when their debut album “Ringtones for the Zone” was released. Later, the rapper from Moscow Guf drew attention to the performers, with whom the group later recorded a joint track, on which the first video for “Caspian Cargo” was shot. The group's popularity increased. The group's second album, "PidzhakiKostyumy", was released in 2014. The release contains a joint track by members of the then-disbanded group "CENTR" - Guf and Slim. On January 28, 2015, the group's third studio album, Side A / Side B, was released. The album was recorded with the participation of beatmaker FD Vadim, known for his work with Guf, “The Chemodan Clan” and Rem Digga. The album contains joint songs with performers Jahmal, Slim, Rigos, Kravets, Brick Bazuka, Jenya Didur, Zmey. “Side A / Side B” took tenth place in the list of best-selling albums in Russia in iTunes for 2015. The album was received positively by critics. The editors of the portal rap.ru placed the album in fourth place in the list of the best Russian rap albums of 2015, and the editors of the portal The Flow included it in their list of the 20 main Russian rap albums of the 2010s. The next two albums, “The Brutto” and “The Ves”, which are actually solo albums of the project participants, debuted in second place and third place, respectively, on the weekly iTunes chart. In March 2017, a video appeared on the band's YouTube channel in which the band members announced that the band's next album would be called "Soundtrack for a Never Made Movie" and would be the band's last. The album was released on September 11 of the same year. In 2023, the group resumed activities and released a new mini-album.
