«Literary Excursion» through Central Park with Olga Bukhina, translator and children's literature specialist.
We stroll through Central Park! We talk about children's literature! Beloved characters and even book authors have made their way into the park and settled there in the form of beautiful sculptures. We'll recall beloved European classics, look at the places where events described in American children's books took place.
The walk will take place on Saturday, June 13 (the excursion may be rescheduled to June 14, Sunday, in case of rain on Saturday).
The excursion starts at the entrance to Central Park, at the southwest corner of 79th Street and 5th Avenue
Meet at 11:45
Group start – 12:00
We walk on foot. At the end of the walk – we have tea with pastries at the children's bookstore «White Rabbit» (200 West 86th Street).
End of the entire program – approximately at 14:00.
We invite children ages 7 and up with their parents.
Participation fee is $30, a ticket needs to be purchased only for the child. Brothers and sisters – a discount of 10 percent each.
The group is small, the number of spots is limited, so please purchase tickets in advance.

Central Park and Literature: A Guided Tour by Olga Bukhina, a Translator and Children's Literature Specialist
When we walk through Central Park, we discover much about children's literature: many of our favorite characters have found their way into the park in the form of beautiful sculptures. Along the way, we recall beloved European classics and see places connected to events in American books.
The tour is scheduled for Saturday, June13 (rain date: Sunday, June14).
Meeting point: entrance to the park at the south-west corner of 79th Street and 5th Avenue.
Meeting time: 11:45 am; the walk will begin at 12:00 pm.
