About the Book
Cameron is having a no-screens, dreary, worst-day-ever kind of day. Oh, the misery! But when his ordinary living room transforms into the mysterious land of Boredom, he meets a friendly monster who helps him discover that a distraction-free world might just hold the greatest adventure of all — imagination.
Co-created by Mariana Ellery and Clara Reschke, this fantastical picture book combines Reschke’s innovative mixed-media art — blending photographs of everyday objects with illustration — into a world brimming with possibility.

About the Author
Mariana is a Latin author who brought her Brazilian heritage and stories — packed in a suitcase — to the always-busy New York City, where she now lives. After more than 10 years in marketing, Mari decided to pursue her true passion: writing for children.

Something I love to share about this book that not everyone knows is that all the objects in the book are photos of real objects from Clara’s and my grandma’s houses.
