Mariana is a Latin author who brought her Brazilian heritage and stories packed in a suitcase to the always-busy New York City, where she currently lives. After more than 10 years in marketing, Mari decided to pursue her writing career in children's literature.

Fun Fact: Clara and I met in 1st grade and are still friends to this day and now book partners. Something I love to share about this book that not everyone knows is that all the objects in the book are photos of real objects from Clara's and my grandma's house! The clock, the gramophone, paintings, etc are all endearing memories of our past.
