October 15 at Bely Krolik — an evening of literary magazines!
What's happening today with Russian literary magazines? Who reads them, who writes in them — and what role do they play in modern literary life?
This evening we'll be joined by two magazines, two editors, poets and authors — we'll talk about literature and, of course, read poetry.
Natalia Polyakova — a Moscow poet and editor-in-chief of the magazine "Literrature" — will talk about the magazine, its authors and today's literary life, and will also read her poems.
Andrei Gritsman — a poet, essayist, translator, and editor of the international poetry magazine "Interpoetry" — will share the latest news from the magazine and will also perform a poetry reading.
Authors from both magazines will gladly join the conversation and readings.
Let's talk about what Russian-language literary magazines are living through today, how their audience and geography are changing, and what's happening with contemporary poetry.
And, of course, there will be lots of poems!
