On October 11, at "Bely Krolik" (The White Rabbit) — a presentation of anthologies of anti-war poetry "Bitter Honey".
The "Poet's Business Is the Poet's Word" project arose shortly after the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine — out of a conviction that poets have no right to remain silent and must express their attitude toward the war.
As early as May 2022, the first issue of the anthology of anti-war poetry "Bitter Honey" was released in St. Petersburg. It included poems by 67 poets from 10 countries around the world, including Ukraine. Poet Alexander Frolov, who also became one of its authors, was the publisher, editor, and designer of the book.
This was the first anthology of anti-war poetry published in Russia after the start of the full-scale war. For safety reasons of the publisher and authors who remained in Russia, the book was not widely advertised or put up for open sale; it was distributed among the authors, at presentations.
In June 2023, the second issue of "Bitter Honey" was released in St. Petersburg — already featuring 82 poets from 13 countries.
The third issue was published in the winter of 2024 in Israel, and then reprinted in St. Petersburg in 2025. It included the work of 85 poets. In addition to the sections "Direct Hit," dedicated to the protest against Russia's war in Ukraine, and "War to War," dedicated to war as a historical, moral, political, and human phenomenon, the third issue featured a new section, "David's Sling," dedicated to Israel's fight against Islamic terrorism.
In total, 127 poets from 18 countries took part in the three issues of "Bitter Honey.
Presentations of the collection have already been held in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Riga, Jerusalem, Haifa, London, Paris, Liège, Wiesbaden, and Tbilisi. And on October 11, "Bitter Honey" will be presented in New York, at the "White Crown.

The authors will read their poems, included in collections that for several years have united Russian-language poets speaking out against the war.
The evening's host is Alexander Frolov, initiator of the project, compiler and editor of «Gorky Media».
