Nogu Svelo! is proud to announce the 2026 U.S. tour, one of the most enduring and defiant acts in Russian rock history. Launched in Moscow in 1988 by frontman and composer Maxim Pokrovsky, the band has spent more than three decades carving out a singular identity at the intersection of punk, alt-rock, and theatrical absurdism. Now based in New York City, Nogu Svelo! arrives on American stages this spring with a preview of their most ambitious project yet — and returns in the fall to deliver it in full.
"After 35 years, we are not slowing down — we are translating."
— Maxim Pokrovsky, Nogu Svelo!
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Nogu Svelo! took an unambiguous anti-war stance — a position that effectively banned them from performing in Russia. Rather than silence, the band chose exile and expansion: relocating to New York, deepening ties with diaspora communities across the U.S. and Europe, and beginning work on Unstable Equilibrium, their first album recorded entirely in English. The record, set for release in fall 2026, marks a bold pivot toward international audiences without abandoning the wit, political sharpness, and sonic eclecticism that defined their catalog.
The spring leg of the tour — five cities, May 2026 — serves as a live preview of the new material, offering fans an early look at the English-language songs alongside beloved Russian-language classics. The fall tour follows the album's release and extends the run to additional markets.
Live, Nogu Svelo! deliver something rare in contemporary rock: a genuine spectacle. Pokrovsky commands the stage with theatrical precision, weaving between languages — English, Ukrainian, and Russian — and between moods — caustic satire one moment, sincere emotional directness the next. Setlists span the band's entire arc, from underground Moscow cult favorites to newly forged anthems for an era defined by displacement and uncertainty.
