About Alexander Scherbina
Aleksandr Shcherbina (born January 1, 1969, Moscow) is a Russian musician, poet, singer-songwriter, leader of the bands Adrian and Aleksandr and Stanislavski's PaYzys. Lives and works in Moscow. Education as an actor and director. Member of the Union of Writers of Moscow and the Union of Writers of the Russian Federation. Co-author of the program about philosophy and philosophers “Minerva's Owl” on Radio 1 Kultura. In 2000 he began to cooperate with Adrian Krupchansky, with whom they performed a duet for some time. With time the band was replenished with other musicians, but the name of the band remained the same - “Adrian and Alexander” With the group “Adrian and Alexander” earned many awards of prestigious festivals, including the winner of the XXXIII Grushinsky Festival. He was a laureate of festivals in Zhukovsky, at the I contest of author's song named after Vladimir Vysotsky, at the festival of songs dedicated to the 850th anniversary of Moscow (SP of Russia) (+ prize of audience sympathy), at the festival organized by the club “Grouse's Nest” for the 850th anniversary of Moscow in the Estrada Theater. Participant of the festival “Kak By Fest”. Reviewing one of the concerts, the Russian music portal ZVUKI.RU noted: Shcherbina's lyrics are penetrating, the melodies are aesthetically eclectic, the range of musical genres - from ballad rock to folk and romance. There are no rules in this program - only words and music, everything else is pure improvisation.
